The Stranger

The Stranger - John Prisk

Faux vintage pulp.

The little alien dude was a doodle from my little 5x8 sketchbook.
Liked it.
Inked it.
Colored it.

The KaaBOOM

Exploding Planet - John Prisk

This one was a fun one. The tutorial was straight forward and easy to follow and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to brush up on, or develop their photoshop skills.

A Place Like Home

Extra Solar Planet - John Prisk

There's been a lot in the news lately about the discovery of significant extra solar planets. I've been told some are a lot like home...

Vanity

Works In Progress - John Prisk

Art with a statement.
It's not always super heroes and monsters.

Works In Progress

Works In Progress - John Prisk

Some stuff I've been fiddling with whilst on my vacation up in the Bay Area.

Zombies.
BigFeets.

They are all inked, but alas my scanner is 360 miles away, I'll have to wait to get 'em scanned and quality versions uploaded.

The Expanse

John Prisk - Cave Man

From the 5x8 sketchbook.
I suppose these last few have been more for the experimentation with and practice of digital colors.

Nascentes Morimur

Nascentes Morimur - John Prisk - Flotsam and Jetsam

Another little homage piece to the thrash band Flotsam & Jetsam,  Nascentes Morimar (sic), from their album Dreams of Death.

This was something I drew on a scrap piece of paper probably a decade ago. I'd scanned it in but it sat and sat since then. I finally decided to throw some color in it...

The Beast of the Mountains...
Or whatever. Its just a little thing (literally) from my tiny 5x8 sketchbook. I liked it so I colored it.

Fantasy Worlds

John Prisk - Fantasy Worlds

A little ballpoint pen doodle from the sketchbook. I kinda liked it so I threw a little digital watercolor on it.

Agony

Agony - John Prisk

Another musically inspired piece. Again by the thrash metal band Testament on the song Agony off of their early 90's release The Ritual.
It's a song about prisoners of war in the Viet Nam era.

The Shore

The Shore - John Prisk

Digital output masquerading (sorta) as traditional art. The figure outline is traditionally done, but the rest of it digitally rendered.

Gojira

Godzilla - John Prisk

My homage to the movie from last year. I quite enjoyed it, caring little for the criticisms I heard.

Jurassic Worlds

Jurassic World - John Prisk

A sorta vintage-esque thing about a sorta vintage-esque thing. Dinosaurs you see.

I want to add some copy to this and turn it into a cover piece to a fictional Jurassic World travel brochure. But as of now it's as finished as I want it to be...

Spiderman V The Lizard

Spiderman/The Lizard - John Prisk

Sorta loosely based on McFarlane's Torment storyline from the launch of the Spider-Man title back in the 90's.
Very sorta loosely based.
Mostly it was done just because I wanted to do some Spidey stuff...
