The Jovian Shark

There is pretty strong evidence that the Jovian moon Europa has a liquid ocean below its icy surface.

Additionally there is some speculation that because of Europas proximity to Jupiter tidal forces likely result in undersea thermal activity.

Because of the likely presence of heat and water scientist have speculated that Europa may harbor some undersea life (though they are most certainly expecting something more microbial).

Anyway in honor of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel this is my little fantasy; an alien shark, native to the Jovian moon Europa.

Drawn at about 11x14 it took about two and a half to three hours to pencil and ink. Digital finishes took an additional 3 and a half hours.
